Almost exactly one year ago, XYZprinting introduced the world’s first full-color da Vinci Color 3D printer. Now the Taiwanese 3D printer manufacturer is presenting the smaller version, the da Vinci Color mini, with a crowdfounding campaign on Indiegogo.
How the 3D Printer Works
The Color series produces 3D objects up to a size of 13 x 13 x 13 cm using a combination of inkjet and FFF printing and the company’s own 3D ColorJet technology.
The Campaign
The new device is currently being offered for the first 100 backers at the early bird price of $999, from the 101st purchaser the compact desktop printer costs €1199. The official market price after the campaign will be 1599 €. The chances for the current offer price are quite good, because the end of the crowdfounding campaign is still two months away and so far the orders are still under 50 pieces.
The Features
Special features of the da Vinci Color series include the compact size (44.7 x 44.7 x 53.3 cm) and colorful results, including auto-filament loading, automatic print bed calibration and an upgrade to a CNC module.
